are amazing. They're very in depth and well formatted

These books, combined with the audio CD (if you can get it), are amazing. They're very in depth and well formatted. Dr. Yadollah's teaching style brings you from knowing zero Farsi to being able to understand complex sentences and structure. I had the advantage of taking a year of college Farsi as well as supplementing that with some italki.com lessons. However, the text provided in my classroom sessions are not nearly as good as what these books are.
If you can dedicate at least an hour a day to these books and audio CDs, you will learn a lot of Persian. I used Anki to put all the vocabulary into flashcard form and some italki.com to converse with native speakers (this is HUGELY important). I highly recommend these books and if you can GET THE CD!

Fantastic. Realistically

Fantastic. Realistically, you can't learn a language without audio. Bite the bullet and get the disc. The audio follows the book which is in a logical sequence and it is certainly not skimpy for the price. I had to order the disc separately (search online). It cost $50.00 and came from Iran, fortunately with tracking. Cost-effective. Worth every penny.
