Making a hero of a criminal

When I read the book, I saw the intentions of being published at this time, to make friends with President Morales, specially in Bolivia where there is no freedom of expression any longer, the reason is that President Evo Morales from Bolivia is also the president of the coca farmers, he wants to blame the USA and others to try to stop coca farming, the DEA has been expelled, private property, National Parks have been taken over by coca farmers that destroy plants, animals to keep on coca farming that is used for cocaine.
More than 88% of Bolivians have filled a survey that are against legalizing coca chewing.
Why a woman married with a man that she clearly admires, writes about a man that was a narco as his sons, and the rest of his family, any decent person would be ashamed to have had any relation with a criminal.
He was" ethical and moral", we have here Roberto Suarez Gomez that had 18 children with wife and other women, a man that with his cocaine destroyed families, that used poor peasants to make cocaine. Narcos are the lowest form of criminals, the damage extends to all ways of life, they are a cancer in a nation.
Mrs Levy speaks about his family like they would be royalty, the truth is that in Bolivia we all know who is who and what scandals and good deeds have been done.
The Suarez have populated Beni, Santa Cruz with lots of children many out of wedlock.A saying is that behind each palm a Suarez is hiding.
She mentions a book My Bolivian Aunt that is written about a British woman that married a Suarez and was mistreated by him, nothing to be proud of.
Also she tells of her ignorance of who Altman/Barbie was. I was a pre teen when I was having tea with my father in an Austrian owned restaurant, my father mention to me that a group of Germans at a table were German Jews that came after the war and were sitting with a Nazi, everybody knew he was a Nazi.
Mrs Levy lets us know in page after page how much money they had and tons of name dropping.
In Bolivia we all know where money comes from, and to have a few hundred heads of Cebu cattle dosent make one rich, also in those years land was free in the tropical area of Bolivia, she mentions that all the houses, property etc were on their children names ,herself and others and that is the reason they did not loose most of it.
Cocaine was a family business, all the Suarez have left a tainted last name to their descendants and they also have blood in their hands, the Suarez family used ex terrorists, extreme violent men as body guards,security, and to kill or beat anybody that was against Roberto Suarez living of cocaine.
Mrs Levy forgets that in Bolivia one is " from a good family" not based on money, studies, last name, but on good breeding with morality, values, that the Suarez and Mrs Levy lack of.
The book is an interesting study of an amoral family where money is king and values do not exist.
